That’s very true. I made a post about this earlier in the thread. 
For a long time I could not understand what was wrong while the initiation/individuation process was going on (although it is still going on). I had to always look for answers about what was happening and get personal experience. Probably only after getting personal experience, you can understand the experience of others… Unfortunately, in the ordinary world of people, we have to resort to the practice of disguise and if we give out our essence, then in very dosed portions, any non-compliance with the proportion causes rejection in the external environment… For me, this is also a paradox

This is something Joel Goldsmith talks about in his book The Art of Meditation.
I had to look up who Seraphim Rose was, never heard of him.
As for our dear friend mr. Watts, I think he has touched more lives than he has any idea.
I even read once somewhere on the L/L site long ago that Jim read him in his mountain cabin before he made his way to Don and Carla. If I remember correctly it was The Wisdom of Insecurity.

Speaking of podcasts, I found this incredible podcast a while back. It’s just someone with a mesmerising voice reading the words of sages past, of any and all mystical traditions, against some soothing background music.
I put on my headphones every morning and take our Labradoodle for a long stroll down the beach, listening to this.
I am not ready at the moment to study the work of Alan Watts:) And I would soften Joel Goldsmith’s words a little more. Yes, I have learned from my own experience that every ground needs to be prepared, but personally I do not have enough patience for this. So apparently this is a lesson in patience/impatience. The fruit does not ripen instantly, it needs time, and this is most frustrating when you want an instant result.

These teachers all had their own unique “styles” of teaching. I enjoy them all, variety is the spice of life.

Paradox lies at the heart of this…what Aldous Huxley called “the Law of Reversed Effort”, although he was essentially referring to Wu-Wei, the most important concept in Daoism.
You have to lose life, to gain life.
Impatience from you, will invite patience from “the Ultimate Reality”, and vice versa.
You have to “give up” and “let go”, no grasping. I sprinkled this whole thread with this.
It’s not in ‘your’ hands. All ‘desire’ on your part is “grasping”.
As Buddha said on the night of his awakening (I’m paraphrasing): “now I found you who built the house. You are desire”
By not getting it, you’re getting it (Alan Watts’ words).
If you speak, it’s silent, and if you’re silent, it speaks.
You have to be a fool, to be wise.

It’s foreign to most people, if not absurd, because it’s the complete relinquishing of ‘control’.
What Daoism calls wu-wei is what Jesus called faith.

I like to call it as “mirror principle”, everything that is being projected will be reflected back.
Karmic law also based on the same principle.
And so does “faith” and “doing by not doing” (wuwei).
Such as this, it doesn’t literally mean you can “enforced your will to a mountain to move”.
It’s based on the “mirror principle” of “if you surrender to the universe, the universe will surrender to you”.
That saying makes him sound just like a zen master, if you’re familiar with zen literature.

It seems be contradicting with “Resisting the opposite polarity, resisting “anything’s” antithesis, is resisting existence (experience) itself.” Because if goal is to learn beauty and ugliness then you come (incarnate) to get such experience, hence you cannot not to resist. He’s what Ra said about what you called battle:
25.6 This, however, being a battle of equals, the Confederation is aware that it cannot, on equal footing, allow itself to be manipulated in order to remain purely positive, for then though pure it would not be of any consequence, having been placed by the so-called powers of darkness under the heel, as you may say.
It is thus that those who deal with this thought-war must be defensive rather than accepting in order to preserve their usefulness in service to others. Thusly, they cannot accept fully what the Orion Confederation wishes to give, that being enslavement.
So if it’s not possible for Confederation to not resist I do not think it’s possible here in third density, I’m saying about positive polarity.
But I think this imaginary contradiction happens because it’s related to different densities. Of course in higher densities “there is only ONE power, not two”, but at least in the third density it’s not so. You’re right I was talking about acting, but

Maybe indeed it’s better to use same word as Ra used: “defence” instead of “resist”. So it will be more clear: “do not resist” = “do not act as service to self”, but it does not mean not to defend because defend is to avoid having been placed under the heel. When I said about wrongly understood concept I meant that usually people put equals between these two words, so they automatically place themselves under the heel.

In all densities there only exist one infinite creator (using Ra’s lingo).
Contradiction does exist, as “Is” cannot be recognized without the “Is Not” as it’s contradicting opposition.
Metaphorically, imagine a novel or a movie where it’s authored by 1 person.
Is it not there exist a contradiction between protagonist and antagonist?
And is it not true that both the protagonist and antagonist is actually the same 1 person? The author?
Everything and everyone in Mahabharata is the same 1 person, Vyasa, yet there exist a contradiction between Pandavas and Kuravas.
Everything and everyone in Lord Of The Ring is the same 1 person, Tolkien, yet there exist a contradiction between Frodo et. al. and Sauron et. al.
When I was translating Ra, I found two moments when Don and Ra did not understand each other. In conversation, we constantly miss most of what we mean. Assuming that the interlocutor knows our background. If we take the human psyche as an analogue, then very soon it will be discovered that both resistance and protection are blocks that cause a lot of difficulties for both the therapist and the patient who turned to the therapist.

I would add:
- It also happens distrust as if interlocutor does not believe in your statement formed by the specific background and you need to proof so you need to tell him all the background.
- Imperfection of language. I often think I need an external/internal predicate to specify if it’s just my point of view. Same sentence “you should do something” can be either “please do it” or “if I were you I would do it”.
- Often I don’t know what to do with simple statements. Example: you say opinion “in this town buildings are so nice” and the response is “but they are very old”.

There is ONE power always and everywhere, throughout all the densities and octaves, throughout all creation everywhere.
Joel Goldsmith explains this well in his book The Thunder of Silence. He essentially discovered non-duality during intense and prolonged meditation, as it is called in Eastern philosophies.
How did you reach the understanding that “do not resist evil” equates to “to do act as service to self”?

I ‘do’ realise I mention Joel Goldsmith a lot, because he was an exceptional meditation teacher in my personal opinion.
But he was a Christian mystic, and the Christian lingo he used is not everyone’s cup of tea.
This book is a good alternative on meditation for someone who doesn’t like Christian jargon.
