There’s certainly a fertile ground for comparative analysis. Take this with a grain of salt - as I am admittedly still a neophyte with respect to this material - but I have reason to believe a defensible thesis can be made that the teachings of Aleister Crowley - the 20th century occultist and ceremonial magic(k)ian - are deeply entangled with the telepathic transmissions of the Confederation of Planets, and vice versa. In fact, the writings of the self-proclaimed “Great Beast 666” contain fragments that use the same metaphysical grammar as Confederation Philosophy, albeit in a far less sanitized form. The similarities are so striking that one could reasonably claim that the Law of One is - among many things - a more refined and robust exposition of Thelemic dogma. This may or may not be a contentious point due to the general limitations and undesirable distortions found in Crowley’s teachings, so I emphasize once more: take this information with a grain of salt.
The most basic similarity is that both claim to have been sourced from non-human/praeterhuman intelligences through a Terran medium. But this is the most basic similarity - a common feature shared with other sacred texts such as the Corpus Hermeticum, Qur’an, Bhagavad Gita, and the Dee/Kelley transmissions, among other New Age channelings such as those of Edgar Cayce and Helena Blavatsky. It may or may not be noteworthy that the entities Crowley channeled have their origin in Ancient Egypt, the land where, according to Ra, their social memory complex built the pyramids and first came into contact with third-density Terrans 11,000 years ago.
There is a however a more striking common feature. In 1904, Crowley proclaimed in his channeled text “Liber al Vel Legis” the famous (or perhaps infamous) magical axiom: “Love is the Law. Love under Will.” In 1981, our 6th-Density cousins from Venus known by the name “Ra” described the primal motions of the Infinite Creation as being one beginning with the first distortion, Will, followed by the second distortion - the focusing of this Will - Love, and the subsequent generation of the third distortion, Light resulting from this focusing of Will upon Love (LOO 15.21). Thus has/is/will Love/Light, Light/Love come/coming/come into existence, followed by the Octave of Densities, according to Ra.
This Love/Light, Light/Love is also referred to by the Confederation of Planets as “Intelligent Energy” - the Kinetic aspect of Intelligent Infinity (LOO 15.9, LOO 27.5). This, according to the Confederation, is also the singular identity of the One Infinite Creator, full of Peace and Power (LOO 4.20). So in summary, we find here that the entirety of Confederation metaphysics as laid out by one of their most mature members is - according to it’s own internal logic - ultimately a more articulated variant of “Love is the Law. Love under Will”, the principal axiom of Thelema. It is worth noting too, that the word “Thelema” is derived from the Greek word for “Will”.
This is just one example of structural resonance between the metaphysics of Thelema and the Law of One teachings. Many others can be investigated, but in honor of free will and out of respect to the spirit of skeptical inquiry, the rest is best left to the discerning seeker.
