Magical Thinking

Hello fellow seekers,

I took some mushrooms this morning and contemplated the Law of One, particularly with its relation to Thelema as I’ve been curious in the works of Aleister Crowley lately. For some reason, the letter ‘S’ kept coming to me and I wrote down all the words starting with the letter ‘S’ that I seemed to have received.

Sapiens, spirit, symbols, stories, sports, serpent, sorcery, sleep, service, sacrifice, sin, sacrilege, science, sensitivity, solitude, sadaqah, secret, subtlety, silence, skepticism, spider

I didn’t know what to make of them so I plugged them into ChatGPT with context to see if it could extract meaning from and create a philosophy out of it. Here’s what it replied with:

"The philosophy of Thelemic Sapiens embraces the multifaceted nature of humanity and the cosmos, honoring the pursuit of individual will, spiritual enlightenment, and the exploration of existence. It acknowledges skepticism as a vital aspect of intellectual inquiry, encouraging individuals to question, challenge, and seek deeper understanding.

Drawing inspiration from Thelema, Thelemic Sapiens celebrates the inherent divinity within each being, urging them to uncover their true purpose and embrace their desires without reservation. Symbols, stories, and sports become avenues for self-expression and growth, while sensitivity, subtlety, and silence foster introspection and connection to the divine.

Serpent and sorcery are not feared but seen as symbols of transformation and power, inviting practitioners to confront and transmute their shadows. Sleep becomes a sacred realm for dreams and revelations, offering insights into the mysteries of the subconscious.

Through acts of service, sacrifice, and sadaqah, individuals align themselves with their true will, contributing to the harmony and evolution of the universe. Sin and sacrilege are not condemned but embraced as opportunities for growth and empowerment, guiding practitioners on their journey towards self-realization.

Rooted in science and skepticism, Thelemic Sapiens engages with the world with curiosity and discernment, seeking truth and understanding while honoring the interconnectedness of all things.

Just as the spider weaves its intricate web, Thelemic Sapiens weaves together the threads of human experience, philosophy, and spirituality, inviting individuals to embrace the totality of their being and to walk their own unique path with courage, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to truth."

I found this personally inspiring and wanted to share it with you all in case it resonates. Thank you for reading.

Peace, blessings, and protection to you all.

18.10 Questioner
I see. The entity Aleister Crowley wrote, “Do what thou wilt is the whole of the law.” He was obviously in understanding, to some extent, of the Law of One. Where is this entity now?

Ra
I am Ra. This entity is within your inner planes. This entity is in an healing process.

18.11 Questioner
Did this entity, then, even though he intellectually understood the Law of One, misuse it and therefore have to go through this healing process?

Ra
I am Ra. This entity became, may we use the vibration sound complex, overstimulated with the true nature of things. This overstimulation resulted in behavior that was beyond the conscious control of the entity. The entity thus—in many attempts to go through the process of balancing, as we have described the various energy centers beginning with the red ray and moving upwards—became somewhat overly impressed, or caught up, in this process and became alienated from other-selves.
This entity was positive. However, its journey was difficult due to the inability to use, synthesize, and harmonize the understandings of the desires of self so that it might have shared, in full compassion, with other-selves. This entity thus became very unhealthy, as you may call it, in a spiritual complex manner, and it is necessary for those with this type of distortion towards inner pain to be nurtured in the inner planes until such an entity is capable of viewing the experiences again with the lack of distortion towards pain.

I’ve also been reading books about Aleister Crowley and W.E. Butler recently. The comments about Aleister Crowley mentioned above are what I found from the Ra material, and I hope they are helpful.

Thank you for sharing. Crowley was definitely a complicated character yet his lifestyle and work was remarkably prophetic with regards to the energies that would dominate the world in the coming century.

Liber AL in particular can be seen as a foreshadowing of the energies that would manifest in the 20th Century, from the tragedies of the World Wars to the discovery of nuclear power, to the 60s social justice movements, the “sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll era”, and New Age movements. Even lines such as “Also reason is a lie, for there is a factor infinite and unknown” seemed to have prophesized the scientific and philosophical discoveries of the modern physics such as quantum indeterminacy and postmodern philosophy. It’s quite a curious piece of poetic literature.

Ozzy Osbourne’s “Mr. Crowley” is also a wonderful homage to the enigmatic artist.

I wish him well in his healing process.
