Why Is Spiritual Work So Taxing in the Early Stages?

I find this interchange hilarious in its simplicity, and yet also inspiring of compassion on my part for those whose “reconstruction project” is bogging them down.

And maybe also some compassion as well for those who enter into their project in a feeble or shallow manner.

G

Yes, Q’uo. In doing spiritual work one of the key aspects is trying to be as present as possible. And some days I’m really on the ball and I feel I’m living in the moment, as well as I can, and meditation goes hand in hand, each affecting the other. That kind of work feels like it takes energy. It really wears you down and burns you out. I would think that entering into the moment, connecting more into your true nature and the Creator, would be a rejuvenating activity. It would be one that refreshes and gives more energy and life. So, would Q’uo be able to tell me why it seems to be so wearying an activity?

Q’uo

We are those of Q’uo, and are aware of your query, my brother. We move into the discussion of novelty again when we address your query, my brother. For the effort taken to work with the self when the self has not yet accumulated a lot of experience in working with the self, is great. It is only as experience is gained through repetition of effort that it begins to feel less like work and more like resting comfortably in an easy chair and enjoying a particularly interesting ride. The factor which creates comfort is simply time. It is surprisingly difficult, from the standpoint of any entity within incarnation, to change that entity’s biases one iota because of the almost unimaginable amount of repetition in a lifetime of creating the present system or structure of prejudices or biases. When one is attempting to address that structure, one has a large task ahead of one. One is basically changing the interior structure of the “house” in which one lives, taking out supporting walls and figuring out another way to support that weight in the house of the self. So allow that patience and that tolerance that one allows when one is working on constructing a remodeled and better house to live in.

Here’s wishing all an interesting ride in your easy chair as your life’s structure is rebuilt!

Yeah, I certainly sympathize with G here, both because it’s hard to stay on the ball and live a normal life AND it’s kind of a sick burn the way Q’uo says “we move into a discussion of novelty again”. Sorry to bore you with the trials of human life, Q’uo!

I’m in my own process of going back to basics, and there’s nothing novel about it. As everybody says, most of it is just letting go of old patterns, making room for what is transformative, but dang it is it hard.

Yes, and you can add some dimensionality to that by considering the matter of identity in relation to faith.

If it appeals to you, you might plumb your spiritual impulses to ask, what is the basis of my faith? Put another way, what inner knowing gives me the sense that all this struggling is worthwhile? Why do I care? What do I really think I’m going to get out of this? What are my deepest concerns here? What inspires me the most? What do I love most deeply? In what context do I feel most alive?

If you can find coherence in your answers, this could lead to a clearer sense of faith and, in turn, whether or not the work is taxing may become less important compared to the satisfaction of recognizing that, over time, you are experiencing more of what you seek.

If we are wanderers who have gone through stages of spiritual development–perhaps many times–then why is the learning of spiritual principals and moving from being a servant of our insecurities to becoming a servant of love so difficult?

The answer is that, just as our body and mind complexes begin at square one in any given incarnation, so too does our spirit complex. Like the body and mind, spirit must learn its lessons from the bottom up, so to speak.

I am again with this instrument. I am Oxal. As you begin to become used to ministering to your self, to that inner child, may each become aware, as if for the first time, of the universal inner child that is your common truth, for that which carries you about, thinks the thoughts of the world, and functions within the illusion is not the end of the self. Indeed, you may think of yourself as having two life forms: the second-density animal which faithfully serves and carries consciousness, thinks and makes decisions for the self is joined by the unlimited and infinite Self, which is the consciousness which is you and is also all others.

There is one consciousness. Yet, due to free will, that consciousness expresses within you in an unique way. As the little child is cared for, so is that awareness of what consciousness truly is. It is born within each. That spiritual self must be nurtured and cared for, for it is young. Each of you is, in one sense, an old soul. In another, in the sense that each is facing the lessons of third density, each is a new and untried spirit, newly conscious of self, newly conscious of the true nature of existence, and very hungry for more. Yet, this is a fragile child, and it exists in sometimes inhospitable climes. Therefore, love that inner identity and know those things that faith alone can give knowledge of. All is well. All will be well, and destiny will bring every harsh and sweet lesson which you need in order to grow. Turn to the sun which is love, and bloom gloriously.

It’s kind of pitiful to think of us all working again from scratch in each incarnation to become self aware, only to lose it again in the next incarnation. It’s quite the challenge.

Well, I just came across a reply to my comment.

I am Q’uo, and we are aware of your query, my brother, and we appreciate the concern that comes from the open heart in search of those who need this love, those who have found a great love, who have sacrificed much for it, and who in another form continue to seek it. We can assure you that each entity, whether previously that which you call a wanderer or an Earth native, as you may call one whose origins are this planetary sphere, will find the great love of the life to be that one Creator which resides within, as we have spoken of previously. For though each incarnation seems to be a great span of time, measured in your years, from the point of view of that which is infinite and eternal, each incarnation is merely the blinking of an eye. And those lessons that can be learned in such a relatively short span of time are intense, pure, passionate and do make their mark upon the soul identity. Thus, though one may seem to be lost from the many, the journey of being lost is that which, in itself, holds great potential. For the ability to move with faith and to power this faith with the will to seek the truth is that which aids any entity in its journey of seeking. Many there are who move in a fashion which seems to reflect this being lost, and yet we know there is a day in which all shall be found. There is within each heart that which may be seen as a beacon, a homing device which ever brings one nearer to the source of the self, to the source of love. And in each daily round of activities the opportunities are presented to the entity to avail itself of its desire to seek the One. Though the period of being lost may be what you would call extensive, always is the higher self offering to the incarnated self the opportunity to find the way home. There are many hints upon the trail, shall we say, and each entity shall eventually find each step on the journey to be complete.

Great timing for this something I have been contemplating for past few weeks and saw this post.
You cant have your cake an eat it… its all down to desire, it only seems effort as its a clash of desires. Desire that is consistent through many moments not just moments here an there. As I experienced in the past moreso… have such strong desire to seek then other periods not so much.

“Ra: I am Ra. The proper role of the entity is, in this density, to experience all things desired, to then analyze, understand, and accept these experiences, distilling from them the love/light within them. Nothing shall be overcome. That which is not needed falls away. The orientation develops due to analysis of desire. These desires become more and more distorted towards conscious application of love/light as the entity furnishes itself with distilled experience.”

And this comes to mind from concept guide

"When the conscious and subconscious minds were partitioned, the most significant result was the arising and the development of will or pure desire. It seems that the essence of this pure desire is the same as the Original Desire, “that entities seek and become One.”
This desire is a yearning, and it is also the seed idea or fundamental premise of the individual self: that it is separate and thus must find the Creator. When the conscious mind was set apart, the conscious self seemed to become displaced.

When a self is displaced, alone, and cut off from its own resources and deeper self, there is the potential to yearn to come back home. In its higher forms this yearning expresses as the need to transcend the separate self and realize oneness with the Creator through healing and forgiveness.
All beings in existence carry this yearning and will be driven by it one way or another, though few on our planet are conscious of their true aim. Those who do awaken, harness, and enter their beings on this pure desire are known as mystics. Mystics may perhaps be defined as those who, having become aware of their true desire, realize that it was this desire hiding at the center of every illusion pursued in the misguided attempt to find satisfaction. Thus, from groping in the moonlight they move closer to grasping the light of the sun. The more awakened this desire, the greater the fire burns, the stronger the entity grows. For those who do resurrect this longing or attractive force, they tune the heart to love, or the denial of love, and exercise the will to chart their return journey home along one of the two available polarized pathways—until polarity is resolved and all again becomes One.’

Tarot is one blueprint for this… like a lover seeking the loved… masculine reaching energy for the feminine awaiting energy… That unity, being the Creator. Hence why there RA path as adept on Venus involved that sexual energy transfer, its one path among many though of course.

Ill leave on the final most obvious … Is the most central exercise mentioned in Law Of one…

“Exercise One. This is the most nearly centered and usable within your illusion complex. The moment contains love. That is the lesson/goal of this illusion or density. The exercise is to consciously seek that love in awareness and understanding distortions. The first attempt is the cornerstone. Upon this choosing rests the remainder of the life-experience of an entity. The second seeking of love within the moment begins the addition. The third seeking powers the second, the fourth powering or doubling the third. As with the previous type of empowerment, there will be some loss of power due to flaws within the seeking in the distortion of insincerity.”…
THIS NEXT LINE sums it up… “However, the conscious statement of self to self of the desire to seek love is so central an act of will that, as before, the loss of power due to this friction is inconsequential.”
"the conscious statement of self to self of the desire to seek love is so central an act of will "

That’s a very interesting statement speaking to the mystery of individualization in the first place. It’s almost saying that a mind/body/spirit complex is a kind of special container for this pure desire, which then gets outfitted with certain biases that allow for that desire to be extended, distorted, and recovered in unique ways. What is mysterious to me is the uniqueness of this complex relative to others, say the mind/body complex of second density, or the social memory complex of fourth density. Perhaps all of these complexes represent “centers of infinity” to riff on Ra’s words, and there is something different about these complexes relative to others (say, a molecule or a solar system as examples of other centering complexes) – likely something to do with some sort of Logoic chain of being stretching into manifestation.

I’m not so much interested in cataloging all these complexes and their relationship to the Logos; I’m more interested in what these phenomena of relationship reflect and distort that can help us understand the basic nature of consciousness.

Thanks for the thoughtful post, Quan.

Yes, that could be called the Linear Journey Model. From another perspective, a being is learning to accept and integrate into Self all of the bits and pieces (like a living jigsaw puzzle) that seem to be floating around one. While they SEEM to be floating around, they actually are pieces of oneself.

My guess is that this is how, at the beginning of Infinity’s exploration of finity, as they say, the Logoi were able to go a different route from the Linear Journey Model. They simply became immediately aware that all they perceived and themselves were of one pattern.

For humans, this sort of awareness would require much intuitive perspicacity and a great ability to accept and forgive. But I expect, as with so many things, the closer you move towards this level of awareness, the easier it is to enter into it and maintain it.

Right, this is where the intuitive faculty comes into play, as well as integration with the Impersonal Self, the Soul Complex, Soul Stream and all that jazz.

In the sense that Love is All, this sums up what I typed above.

Speaking to the topic, there may be the idea
that most ray transfers are not mutually
empowering, there’s some imbalance in the
transfer that can leave one feeling depleated.
Green ray energy transfers seem the exception.

An accompanying idea seems that most people
are yellow ray body activated, not necessarily
green ray body or blue ray body active. There’s
some mention of wanderers who somehow get
distracted, and live in an awkward state.

75.24 Questioner: The answer to this question probably has to do with our distorted view of time, but I see Wanderers in this density who have come from fifth or sixth density. [It] seems to me [that they] should already be of a relatively high degree of adeptness [and] must follow a slightly or somewhat different path back to the adeptness that they previously had in a higher density and get as close to it as they can in third density. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. Your query is less than perfectly focused. We shall address the subject in general.
There are many Wanderers whom you may call adepts who do no conscious work in the present incarnation. It is a matter of attention. One may be a fine catcher of your game sphere, but if the eye is not turned as this sphere is tossed then perchance it will pass the entity by. If it turned its eyes upon the sphere, catching would be easy. In the case of Wanderers which seek to recapitulate the degree of adeptness which each had acquired previous to this life experience, we may note that even after the forgetting process has been penetrated there is still the yellow-ray activated body which does not respond as does the adept which is of a green- or blue-ray activated body. Thusly, you may see the inevitability of frustrations and confusion due to the inherent difficulties of manipulating the finer forces of consciousness through the chemical apparatus of the yellow-ray activated body.

Thanks to oswg_jeremy, its a very eloquent way of describing. I just want to add to those newer readers which todays daily quote sums up well but to beef it up some more(sorry couldnt help myself)… is a reminder that yes we are mind/body/complex but also Creator too.
The rest of the passage, from Exercise one in Law of One is…
"Exercise Two. The universe is one being. When a mind/body/spirit complex views another mind/body/spirit complex, see the Creator. This is an helpful exercise.

Exercise Three. Gaze within a mirror. See the Creator.

Exercise Four. Gaze at the creation which lies about the mind/body/spirit complex of each entity. See the Creator.

The foundation or prerequisite of these exercises is a predilection towards what may be called meditation, contemplation, or prayer. With this attitude, these exercises can be processed. Without it, the data will not sink down into the roots of the tree of mind, thus enabling and ennobling the body and touching the spirit."

Yes a special container for desire… being the Creator desiring to know itself through free will focusing on love, using light. Then yearning for the unity once more, each being the infinite amount of Creators who all are one. Or the One Infinite Creator. Law of One text many times state they just bring the message of unity. Well there is more  but that is it in a nutshell…

Soup. Just on the assertion that most are yellow ray body, that is hard to say or may be the case but its changing as many are being born are already born with dual activated body(third and fourth density bodies)… Or in simple words… that was talked about some time in past in Law of One so not sure on numbers now.

Mirror, the discussion above for oswg_jeremy ties to your response.

I must give appreciation for all these discussion in the thread, its helped further insights for myself, an much excuses for lots of contemplation!

There’s some other passage somewhere that claims some supplements can be beneficial. This touches on the idea of the red ray body as foundational to the other bodies, and the demands in balancing the red ray body (constituent elements not quite assimilated into orange/yellow chemical body) all suggests a simple question. As people transition from say a dormant yellow ray state and into a spiritually active green/blue/indigo ray body state - does that put demands on the red ray foundational body that weren’t there before?

There may be some assumption that a status quo red ray
body foundational support for a status quo yellow ray body
is sufficient for a spiritually active person - I disagree.

There’s so many benefits to taking mineral, vitamin,
and herbal supplements - especially as counter measure
to a North American diet (which doesn’t seem to be
bringing out the best in people.). As people put work
into spiritual aims, nutritional demands differ. Some
might suggest fasting. Others might suggest drinking
good (non plastisized, non heavy metal) water. I find
benefit in heart happy supplements, there’s so many!

Many people I admire seem to be Vegan or vegetarian
dominant. I’m not a hard-liner but might describe my
diet as vegetarian dominant. I think it’s best when
people seek and find what works well with them.
