Q’uotes Discussions

It’s intriguing how Q’uo often mentions silence. Today, I arrived at the conclusion that this frequent mention might be attributed to the ongoing need for personal development in achieving and understanding silence. For instance, there exists a distinction between merely disconnecting from devices like computers and phones and settling into a state of undisturbed contemplation with our thoughts, and the deeper silence that involves calming both our body and mind totally.

Today, I lay down and endeavored to completely relax and achieve stillness (thus silence my body), simultaneously attempting to quiet my mind and inner dialogue (thus silence my mind). And what is significant, I directed my focus towards what I might describe as the gut or essence of my inner conscious self that can be perceived as subconcious from perspective of mind.

This practice led me to the emergence of unfamiliar, exotic positive emotions and elusive, surreal, and playful images within me (that I can’t really describe this in words, also seem to be intimate).

What was particularly enlightening was the sensation of infinity behind my inner self - a sense of expansiveness that suggests a complete void (void that is kind of fulfillment) where the mind and body, this transient self, seem factualy merely like a shell. This realization became accessible, precisely thanks to the embrace of silence.

Sometimes I recall perceiving the word ‘silence’ from Q’uo as somewhat simplistic and rudimentary. However, it’s undeniable that behind this seemingly basic term lies a spectrum of layers in achieving and experiencing silence, each yielding unique outcomes. It’s an authentic art form. For anyone hesitant or curious, I strongly recommend dedicating time to explore it, the silence.
