Ok, so I just decided to do some background information on the Galactic Federation of Light (from the Youtube videos) and amongst some other things, this is what they say about themselves:
GFL Station
Description Welcome to The GFL Station! We are a revolving team of 3-8 people (yes ALL real humans!) and we delight in bringing you channelled messages from our Galactic kin. ALL our content is 100% ORIGINAL bringing (human) channelled transmissions to LIFE as authentically as we can for YouTube using professional voice over artists and carefully curated artwork. Building a channeled transmission (from zero to screen) goes through the following process:
Build/write/receive script from channeling message
Refine as needed and include voiceover notes
Send script to voiceover team
Record voiceover
Refine/amend/re-record as needed
Select/build visuals
Build out final video/audio & render
Select & design thumbnail art - upload!
Time to complete 1 video = 1.5 to 2.5hrs
DISCLAIMER: All channeled messages are provided for entertainment purposes ONLY
Have a message that youâd like us to bring to life - email us!
Where it says this on their site is very telling.
âDISCLAIMER: All channeled messages are provided for entertainment purposes ONLYâ
I also saw that they have made a video on the Orion Confederation of Light (this is what the GFL are calling it). I do not care to watch a video on the Orion Confederation of Light and I did not watch the video, but I can clearly see now what others of you who have posted on this topicâs thread are saying and that this is completely STS oriented. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I do not think the creators of this YouTube GFL station care about being service to others. They are extremely focused on the daily political events and hot topics all over the world, which Ra and the Confederation do not cover in detail. They are only trying to create content to reach more viewers and are tricking people who are more pure in heart into making them think their message is STO oriented but it is really not. So for myself, I do not advocate wasting any time on watching the videos. I will stick to studying the Law of One as given by Ra, a humble messenger of the Infinite Creator, for my spiritual growth.
That is a tad interesting. I wonder if those who channels the Confederation ever felt the need to add that kind of disclaimer?
By the way, another thing that strikes the mind is that they forgo the word âLoveâ and only keep the word âLightâ.
And then there is this difference in between a Federation and a Confederation:
âA federation has a central government that holds supreme authority, with power divided between the federal government and member states, while a confederation is a looser alliance where member states retain most sovereignty and the central authority is weak.â
Well, when you think about, Patrick, is not this forum here basically for entertainment purposes only? Of course, those purposes are very, very refinedâŚ
Agreed, I think itâs a healthy approach to treat any material as âfor entertainment purposes onlyâ and to move on with life accordingly. New information might influence how we feel and perceive, while our environment and relationships need tending regardless.
Reminds me of:
Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water: situation
After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water: meditation
Entertainment can be enlightening in our play of perspective
I guess I am missing the point. Confederation speakers give a disclaimer so often (at every sessionâs beginning) that we probably tune it out much of the time. They never call it entertainment, but advise all to only accept what they know internally to be true and not take their words as coming from a supposedly all-knowing authority.
To me, calling this entertainment brutally cheapens it. Done right, this is about seeking Truth beyond reason.
Well, it is entertaining, one way or another, I suppose. But I was trying to make a different point, and itâs a point that covers a lot of territory, actually. Whatâs missing from summing this up as entertainment is due reverence for the sacredness of it.
Iâm wondering, @Raz, does that comment resonate with you? Do you feel a kinship with the sacredness? Or does that seem merely academic?
I feel a kinship towards all, even the aspects that Iâm not too fond of. I find some people are easier to love than like.
My attention is not unconditional, while where it moves, love, compassion and creativity flows, not from me, rather through me (as a two way street)
The sacred is part of that, and it can shine through the mundane or a heartfelt game, I feel like what we refer to as physical reality is a dynamic distortion of grace
how about you Mirror, what is your sense of kinship within the complexity of totality?
Actually, setting aside the point about the GFL having a disclaimer, the âentertainmentâ admission is interesting. Is any of the transient stuff in the Ra contact really amounting to much in excess of entertainment? Itâs like one step above Star Wars, a lot of it.
This is pretty much what I tried to cover in the last podcast episode: Ra says itâs not the transient information that detunes but the imbalanced focus on it. A lot of this stuff like GFL â which seems akin to the Ashtar Command branch of Confederation channeling as I outlined in my short analysis of the linage here âspends so much time on the space opera that the smattering of spiritual topics gets drowned out. If you followed a hermeneutics that filtered out the dross, youâd have like one sentence. The rest of it is like just diverting the imagination, and it is entertaining â genuinely! But it simply doesnât change life or how one might live it.
First, âcomplexity of totalityâ is a term of the mind, and serves as a good foil to what I wish to express here. In my world, sacredness is experienced entirely of faith and has little rational standing. People attracted to LOO tend to speak of faith almost never, instead they focus on the facts in the material. For me, this misses the point almost entirely.
The Sacred is an emotion known to the deep self that springs from direct communion with Eternity. In moderate doses, it gives EVERYTHING context, and yet it is seldom honored, or even mentioned.
Part of the problem is simple enough, even if you want to mention it, it is very difficult to put any words to it because the experience draws your words out like a sponge sops up liquid. That is, it is not experienced at a level of consciousness that allows conceptualization. So, what can you say?
Well, sacredness and faith are just as much terms of the mind.
Love is not love, itâs just called love, I use the reference âcomplexity of totalityâ to point, not contain.
I can somewhat relate to what I feel like you are pointing towards
This reminds me of a phase where I liked to lean on the idea of non-conceptual living and how the lyrics for Liquid Living where born
as previously stated, words can point, never contain
We are always in communion with eternity in one way or another, itâs just varying in how obvious that is
It was initially the âentertainmentâ part that had me concerned but when I read your post about the âdisclaimerâ part, it got me thinking.
Earlier I had mentioned that I came across a woman on Youtube named Elizabeth April who channels the Galactic Federation for her own purposes. I watched some of her videos first before I realized that there was a whole separate Youtube channel dedicated to the GFL and promoting their videos on it. Anyways, I remember that when I watched my first Elizabeth April video, she was asking people to subscribe to her channel and also check out her own dedicated webpage where viewers could find more of her detailed work instead of the (in my words) watered down version she was presenting on Youtube. She stated that the creators/administrators of Youtube had already taken down a lot of her content because they said that it violated their rules. She told her viewers that she did not know how much longer she would be able to post on Youtube because they could remove her content at any time and ban her. She made it sound like she had to change some of her content in order to get a platform on Youtube again. When I checked her personal webpage, I saw that you had to pay monthly subscriptions to receive her packaged content. I did not like that because I do feel that if you have access to spiritual information that you view as the truth, you should make that information available to others without making them have to pay for it. That was one of the things that I liked and still do like about L/L Research, and that is that they provide all of their materials for free for anyone who wants to access it. But anyways I digress. I think that Youtube banned Elizabeth Aprilâs content earlier on because she goes into detail about ETâs, conspiracy theories, and the US government. I believe that the Youtube admin thought that she was spreading fear mongering, unfounded conspiracy theories, social unrest, and distrust of the government and public officials as well as âfake newsâ. I think that the creators of the GFL videos on Youtube are completely separate from Elizabeth April and her work with the Galactic Federation and they do not collaborate with her, but they have their agenda that they want to pursue which I now believe is to reach as many followers as possible to fulfill their STS path. I think that they do not want to have their videos banned on Youtube for the same reasons that Elizabeth April was banned for earlier on since their content is about the GFL as well, so they decided to put a disclaimer up on all of their videos that purport to show the administrators of Youtube that their videos are only to âentertainâ the public and to not spread âfake newsâ. SO if this is what the disclaimer is for, I donât think that L/L Research needs a disclaimer. L/L Research has their own dedicated webpage that does not (unfortunately) have the name recognition of Youtube where people from all walks of life could come across its content. For the most part, (I assume that) the only people worldwide who find the L/L Research web page is by serious and dedicated spiritual seekers, whom I donât think need a disclaimer.
On a side note, reading everyone's comments has got me thinking more about Elizabeth April. I have given her the benefit of the doubt of being STO since that's what she says she is using her psychic gifts for. I do like that she states on every one of her videos that this is just her experience, and everyone is free to take it or leave it. If it doesn't resonate for you then discard it. But I don't like that I see her promoting all of her merchandise and her packaged content that only her dedicated viewers can access for a fee.
Ok, I do not know why my last paragraph above is appearing in this fashion with the slide bar going under it. I even tried to edit it but I canât figure out how to make it normal.
Iâve been wondering about sacredness too. Or rather wondering âwhere is the Wonder?â in this worldview where all we seem to do is look for answers (myself included). But I think there is something to the dynamic tension between the experience of wonder and humility that lives inside sacredness (as I understand it) and the limits and edges that we hit when trying to conceptualize and analyze. Even those of Ra spoke of the mysteries they have not probed.
This is amusing. It seems we share a common limitation.
This is going to be difficult, I can tell⌠Love is called love by the mind because it cannot experience anything deep. The notion of sacredness can be discussed by the mind. The actual experience of faith occurs in the deep mind, where the shallow mind is completely blinded. The actual experience of faith is not printed on a tarot card, nor is it about facts, nor anything else tangible. It is simply the deep self knowing itself as unlimited love, blindly, helplessly, free from all diversions of concepts of self.
The body of work that brings us together here is about answers, and not about practicing wonder, right? It was, Hey, letâs contact some aliens and get some answers, and when we get enough answers, we can make a book, and after the first book we can make more books of answers, and then more books about how we got the answers..
If you can handle some deviant musing, Iâve been wondering about the direction of LLR. How many more books of answers will they want to create until they decide to do something else?
Of course, the answers are not real, they are just representational, until they are found within your very being, and no book of answers can take you there.
Wonder travels in the opposite direction from answer seeking. Wonder is in the being, it does not really travel. The state of being is inaccessible to the mind, rather, it resides in the deep self. The tilt of this work is not to experience the deep self, but only to talk about it through the archetypes or some other reference. Again, this is the example left to us by Don Elkins, who could do that much and no more.
I thought of another way to express this in language. If you look up in the LLR archive of conscious channeling sessions the term âimpersonal self,â you will find snippets about a deeper part of self than the run of the mill conscious self.
In one place they call it the âI AM.â It is just another level of awareness with different rules and structure, same way your conscious and subconscious levels of self have different structure and play by different rules.
Things like pure self-forgiveness or faith can be experienced at the deeper levels only.
