There is not much better examples than the story of Buddha and Angulimala, like any of those ancient tells there are many variants of the story, so who knows what is fact or fiction.
Of course before speaking of this… main disclaimer is listen to your heart an what feels right in that moment…
Basically Angulimala felt he had to take a large number of lives for some spiritual attainment some say 100 or some say 1000 but upon coming across Buddha his latest victim and the last one needed he could not, Buddha had no fear just love (well in a nutshell) and upon talking with him switched polarity and joined to become a discipline and progressed greatly upon the STO path.
Or a more personal level of forgiveness and love for one self…
Milarepa a Tibetan buddhist, who switched polarity too upon realising his STS ways…reached great attainment like the person in story above. There was a movie on this I saw.
Okay yes these are extreme examples, but like the old proverb “If others can do, why can’t you?” Especially if those others have changed after such perceived unforgivable acts. On the opposite end even no matter how STO someone is there may be a lesson to be learned.

On revolution itself there was an interesting pattern discussed on this on a societal and individual level, which came about from further questioning…

Now back to infatuation here is one more quote that is a handy reminder, specifically about the part of daily catalyst and important of pondering this enough for experience to pop up. Which of course is the whole central point of the Tarot cards and making choice between STS and STO, as once that choice is made then processing of experience can be hugely expedited…if given the space to happen.

That balance that can help with unblocking those lower energy centers, of red- sexuality and survival of orange- self to one self or other self, yellow- self and group selfs is “if you can hold the essence of faith which is that all is well and that all will be well, if you can hold to this attitude, that faith will grow and flourish and bloom in amazing ways”. Having that attitude means you are trusting in love which is letting the energy flow further up the energy channels… So before seeking guidance first do some house work first!
For I seek guidance by asking father… which is the name I use thats symbolic for the masculine conscious archetype for reaching, reaching for that feminine unconscious energy awaiting the reaching- I will ask all is one and all is not one and all is love and all is not love to get a feeling of sensation of guidance… then usually some random question or two to confirm. I feel that sensation in the indigo energy center to signal yes or no(especially in the third eye area). Sometimes signs can come external too… or other ways a thought or vision or something too. So basically I can get a feel and accustomed by confirming what is already known to train that sensation now these days its much more obvious. Of course sometimes an answer is not meant to be known too and will come when time is right! Answer will also be much clearer if I have done the housekeeping on lower centers. By meditation, quieting mind and balancing exercises from any recent day to day occurrences…
That magic word… use for guidance its important to strengthen connection using it for sending love and thanks and way to access entire creation… which is you on a deeper level and ensures energy is coming through you not from your third density self. Whatever the word it is does not matter just your intention and love behind it…

There are two levels to that truth seeking mentioned here…

And as each sits within this domicile listening to these words each is a repository of perhaps [one] half simple sense impressions and the other half constructions upon those sense impressions created by what this instrument would call “world opinion.” In other words, the onion skin of the visible and seen existence, though very tough and resistant to puncture, is quite thin, and the entity with a sharp needle of selfhood simply pierces that onion skin to move into the depths of that ocean that is being or consciousness.
Now, there are clues and hints in plenteous supply even within your everyday reality, if you would call it that. There is enough information that lies like litter about every doorpost in the ordinary of things. To create catalyst which produces the most excellent manifestation, the most complete transformation, the most satisfying epiphany for those seekers who are called to such a ministry, the everyday and ordinary surface holds every tool and resource necessary for utter realization and clarification of being.
However, most seekers prefer not to work with the ordinary and everyday but, rather, to seek that which underlies or overshadows or surrounds the everyday and the ordinary. The depth and reality of the being below the surface fascinates and attracts the seeker who is not content to be lost in bliss, gazing at the dust, at the leaves, at the air, but wishes to know more about himself or herself, which is to know how deep that self may go. Is she truly other than the everyday? What is his truth? What is his mission? The voyagers attempting to sail into that ocean which is the deep mind are seeking a truth that moves beyond limits into the ineffable. Within each seeker’s mind and heart these voyages are chosen in a darkness, a blackness of shadow, and as sails are set they are set through faith or hope. And the voyager must trust the wind, must simply raise that sail which is desire and then wait patiently for the wind of spirit to fill that sail and to determine the course and the weather of the journey.
The seeker within metaphysical or time/space reality is as the miner who wishes hidden treasure. In fact, that treasure is cunningly and cleverly hidden within the self, within deep memory, yet that which is true of the metaphysical universe is true in a systematic or processional way so that the seeker who travels in this dark and shadowy sea becomes more aware only after much experience of simply sailing about metaphysical waters. The truth comes into consciousness more like a scent. An aroma is detected and the nose follows that scent and takes you to the bubbling pot of delicious food. Seeking within the metaphysical realm is of that nature. You simply must follow your intuition which is the olfactory organ of the metaphysical universe."

All things are possible when entered into with love, acceptance, compassion, humility, tolerance and the light touch.
