Hi Acer,
Sorry, I have limited understanding of what Ra was meaning. Is this the only time Ra has used the term ‘mass mind’ where he would usually use the explicit term ‘mind/body/spirit/social complex’?
If I were to examine the explicit wording, and extract to greatly simply it, for my simple conscious mind it would become: ‘Observe the relationships between the mind and the other mind’. ‘Observe the relationships between the mind and the mass mind’. ‘Observe the relationships between the mind (self) and the infinite mind’.
Now, far better for me to look to the following paragraph of 5.2 It reads:
The second area of learn/teaching is the study/understanding of the body complexes. It is necessary to know your body well. This is a matter of using the mind to examine how the feelings, the biases, what you would call the emotions, affect various portions of the body complex.
I would prefer to discuss this, and have found profound understanding of these interactions between body and the thoughts that precede ailments, in the quality work of Louise L Hay. Especially her world famous book ‘You can heal your life’.
Our family has about 6 copies of this book, and often refer to it for new insight to minor (or major) physical manifestations of poor health, and the thought forms that one has been dwelling on to create the body disharmony. For example, lower back pain, reflects fear of financial security. Teeth represent our decisions. Elbow problems? Perhaps you are being inflexible, mentally, as well, and have rigid thinking, to cause the elbow problem. She has affirmations for each ailment. The book is priceless.
Thank you Lightfoot !
I still haven’t read her work though hearing of it so often mentioned with any Ra discussion. I am so silly, lol.
It’s good, one more thing to read before I really get too old…
Great question! This 5th discipline is much harder to apprehend. Even more so when it comes often times near the beginning of one’s study of Ra’s teachings. As you delve deeper into the work you will come across the concept of the tree of Mind which will reveal to you (If it hasn’t already) more insight to the question you have asked. In relation to the Infinite mind I encourage you (if you feel the pull of the magnet that is) to investigate (if you have not already) Ra’ s teachings on the group’s Learnings on the Archetypical mind Tarot).
5.2 The mind must be opened like a door. The key is silence. Within the door lies an hierarchical construction you may liken unto geography and in some ways geometry, for the hierarchy is quite regular, bearing inner relationships.
First of all, the direction here is to look inside for yourself, not ask other people.
Second, Q’uo mentions some place that this is about the layers of self being similarly structured, beginning with the personal subconscious, the ethnic or national or other social group subconscious, the planetary subconscious and whatever else you can find in there. In some sense, this can be viewed as a geographic or geometric arrangement.
Actual silence of mind is a very powerful tool for self discovery.
Rots o’ ruck. I’ve found that while many fantasize about it, few are they who have adequately strong desire to actually face the music…or lack of it.
Thanks to all for taking the time to reply. We continue on our quest. Best of luck to us all until we meet again.
“ or lack of it .”
Gracious Mirror is there any lack of music anywhere ?
This is a lyric improv for
Law of One Session 5.
The beat of this is adopted from
Lana Del Rey’s, High by the Beach.
(Note later I’d recognize Lana in her
video of this song, as a premptive
Gaza healer - the setting as similar
to the beaches of Gaza, complete
with a sense of conflict.)
RIGHT IN THE WRONG
Rah~eeeyah~aha
Rah~eeeyah~aha
A healer doesn’t heal that way
A healer plays catalyst
Freeing our mind, channeling freer
walk through the door
We wanna hold a quiet silence,
just like before
We more than thrive,
by healing more
Part of what we do -
we see right in the wrong
See right, baby baby in wrong
Part of what we do is
be light, heavy heavy
be light heavy heavy as strong
In false we come to know,
a balance to the truth,
to better accept the whole
Part of what we do -
we see right in the wrong
See right, baby baby in wrong
See a thought from afar
examine every thought
Imagine an opposite -
a hiding antithesis
First step done, next accept it
With bias and emotion
We make it real
We’re learning how to heal
Part of what we do -
we see right in the wrong
See right, baby baby in wrong
Part of what we do is
be light, heavy heavy
be light heavy heavy as strong
In false we come to know,
a balance to the truth,
to better accept the whole
Part of what we do -
we see right in the wrong
See right, baby baby in wrong
Inner mind, outer mind
We focus first alone
Then it’s our body body
Accept beyond our own
Inner mind, outer mind
We focus first alone
Then it’s our body body
Accept beyond our own
~silent break~
Part of what we do -
we see right in the wrong
See right, baby baby in wrong
Part of what we do is
be light, heavy heavy
be light heavy heavy as strong
In false we come to know,
a balance to the truth,
to better accept the whole
Part of what we do -
we see right in the wrong
See right, baby baby in wrong
Raaa~eeeyie~eeeyah~aha
Raaa~eeeyie~eeeyah~aha
Raaa~eeeyie~eeeyah~aha
Raaa~eeeyie~eeeyah~aha
Balancing, within our mind
Balancing, outside our mind
Balancing, along our body
Balancing, geography
Raaa~eeeyie~eeeyah~aha
I suppose it depends on how you look at it. Some would say that when you sit in silence, of course, there is no music. On the other hand, one musical element is the rest. So, one who is given to overextended argumentation and, perhaps, to excessive thinking in general, could aver that all silence is musical expression in the form of bar after bar of rests.
