> How does working with the archetypes to become them help us in the development of the magical personality?

“A magician is one with the ability to effect changes in consciousness at will. You have been a magician each time that you have faced a situation in life and made a conscious choice to respond to catalyst that is offered you in a way which was not automatic in your responsive system. When you have chosen a higher path, when you have chosen a soft word instead of a harsh one, a kind action instead of a rude one, or an honest if hard answer instead of a hypocritical though easy one, you have acted in a magical way, choosing to lift your consciousness to a higher path.”

A very classic occult quote “A magician is one with the ability to effect changes in consciousness at will”, I am not so familiar with all that field but having read an assortment of books it would have to be one the most essential if not key one. Its one quote also that really is a universal one with context and use throughout a range of spiritual paths. Even just for those who think a magician is like a person in a cartoon or story waving a wand or casting spell, it can be a eye opening sequence of words.
